She joined the school of chemistry and chemical engineering in august, 2013. She focuses on questions such as: the synthesis and sensor properties of many kinds of materials, including small organic molecules, conducting polymers and nanomaterials; synthesis of aggregation-induced emission luminogens with sensor characteristics; early detection of cancer: cell imaging. She has published 13 papers as first author including a review in well-known journals, such as Scientific Reports, Chemical Communications, Chemistry–A European Journal, and Journal of Materials Chemistry. These papers have been cited by more than 500 times, with H factor 11.
