Chen-Han Lee is the Chief Research Fellow (首席科学家) of National NC System Engineering Research Center (NERC) in Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) and a State Specially Recruited Expert (国家特聘专家) of China. Dr. Lee also holds consulting or visiting positions in Wuhan Huazhong CNC, Co., HUST, and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
Dr. Lee received Ph.D. of Physics from Purdue University. Before joining NERC, he spent 20 years developing advanced CAD/CAM/CNC/MPM software, mostly with Siemens PLM Software (previously UGS).
Dr. Lee and his team focus on the R&D of Computational NC Machining, with equal emphasis on academic studies and industrial applications. The long-term goal is to inject intelligence and the ability to fully optimize machining processes into CAx and other computerized systems.
