Ⅰ.Program Objectives

The specialty is aimed at the training of comprehensive abilities including basic theory of chemistry, experimental skills and techniques, and basic training of scientific thought and practice in the fields of fundamental and applied researches. The specialty is also aimed at the training of advanced professionals with strong fundamental knowledge, adaptive capacity and ability of knowledge update. The trained professionals will be inter-disciplinary talent who is engaged in scientific research, education, technology and management in the fields of chemistry, chemical engineering, energy resource, materials, biology, photoelectric, environment, medicine, metallurgy, foods and labor safety etc. 

 

Ⅱ.Learning outcomes

Students of the program will acquire:

  1. Quality of humanity and science, and also social responsibility.
  2. Systematically basic theory and knowledge of mathematics and physics.
  3. Basic theory and experimental skills of chemistry, and well know the frontier, potential application and latest development of chemistry.
  4. A foreign language and the ability of literature search by using the methods of modern information technology.
  5. Consciousness of innovation and practical ability, and team spirit.
