Functional polymers are macromolecules with unique features and applications and are the frontier of polymeric science. This course aims at providing a comprehensive introduction of functional polymers, and especially, will focus on the functional polymers for skin health and repair applications based on the previous joint research on clinical medicine, polymer science, and immunology of the teaching team. This course will enable students to solve actual problems from clinical practice, and design and prepare biomedical polymer materials.

This course will fill the gap between basic research and clinical application and will truly realize the transformational scientific research system of "from laboratory research to clinical research".
