Yonggui Liao is a Professor of polymer chemistry and physics at School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. His research spans functional polymeric / supramolecular materials, multi-phase and multi-component polymers, as well as physical / chemical behaviors of polymers under specific conditions. He has executed for projects from NSFC and one from MOE. He has obtained 30+ authorized Chinese patents and published 100+ papers in the leading scholarly journals in polymer science and technology, including Macromolecules, Macromolecular Rapid Communications, Langmuir, Soft Matter, Polymer. He teaches Polymer Physics, Basic Principles for Polymer Processing, and Comprehensive Experiment for undergraduates, as well as Multi-phase and Multi-component Polymers for graduates. He is a recipient of Distinguished Supervisor for Graduates at HUST, New Century Excellent Talent, Huazhong Scholar at HUST, and First Prize of Jilin Province Natural Science.
