Academic Areas: Membrane Separation


Yan Wang is Professor in the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Her research direction includes the development of high-performance separation membranes and membrane processes for water purification, liquid separation and wastewater treatment, via forward osmosis, reverse osmosis, pervaporation, microfiltration and nanofiltration, as well as the integration and industrial scale-up of separation processes. At present, she is the Subject Editor of Chemical Engineering Research and Design and the editorial board member of Membrane Science and Technology. She also served as the executive councilor of the first China Membrane Society and Hubei Intellectual Association, the Youth Expert Committee member of Chemical process Enhancement Committee of Chinese Chemical Industry Society, the 7th Council member and the Youth Expert Committee member of China Society for desalination and water reuse. She has an author of 4 English book chapters and more than 70 academic SCI journal papers, applied for 33 international and domestic patents (17 granted), and delivered more than 50 talks in universities, international and domestic conferences (including more than 20 invited talks).
