Functional Materials Chemistry Frontiers Forum 2021 Successfully Held

On December 21, 2021, the Functional Materials Chemistry Frontiers Forum was held successfully. As a high-end academic exchange and cooperation platform, this forum provides an opportunity for experts and scholars in the field of functional materials chemistry to gather together and discuss the future developing ideas and trends in this field.

   


The forum was chaired by Zhu Qijun, Vice Dean of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). Liu Wei, Vice Dean of the Research Development Office of HUST, Jiang Hongyang, Secretary of the PCP Committee of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering HUST, Zhu Jintao, Dean of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering HUST, 5 experts from inside and outside HUST and more than 30 teachers from the school attended the forum. Prof. Zhu Jintao expressed his warm welcome and sincere thanks to all the experts, and hoped that through this forum, the research direction of functional materials chemistry of the school would be better promoted and the development of young teachers would be facilitated. Mr. Liu Wei of the Research Development Office fully affirmed the significance of this forum, and hoped that this forum could promote the rapid development of disciplines and talents through academic exchange and expert guidance.

                           


At this forum, 5 experts, including Prof. Zhang Xianzheng from Wuhan University, Prof. Liu Zhihong from Hubei University, Prof. Wan Qian from School of Pharmacy HUST, Prof. Zhai Tianyou from School of Materials Science and Technology HUST, and Prof Han Hongwei from Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics were invited to participate in the academic exchange. 8 professors including Xia Baoyu, Wang Deli, Xue Zhigang, Wu Yuzhou, Li Zhongan, Zhong Fangrui, Xiao Fei, Xu Jiangping from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering HUST delivered academic reports and conducted in-depth exchanges with participating experts. The participants said that the forum played a key role in exploring the research direction and strengthening the communication and exchanges between teachers.
